Date: 2025-05-21 Perfect setup Let's finish this article fast. Perfect setup does not exist. There is no such thing. End of story. Now we can talk traditionally some side stories, plots, give some shit to people who don't understand or who don't agree, point our finger to the broken nonsense that clown world serves to us and somewhere between lines telling that this is your ultimate source of the objective truth, all wisdom collected in a whole human history and the way how you can transcend into something higher. All correct, I agree with everthing above. So I will try at least a bit to touch the tittle of this essay. You got all your rig in the right place, in right angle and distance. Your software is carefuly selected, recommended by 10/10 of IT experts in the particular field and everything is setup based on at least a decade of your own computing experience. You tested, tried, learned a lot during your whole computer fuckery. You know exactly what you need and you already reached your endgame. You all have it! Everything is perfect. Colors, size, shapes, features, visuals, comfort, all is 100% as it should be. There is just one fucking bug. The purpose, why you did all of this is not fulfilled. Whole that perfect god like setup killed your creativity in exchange for comfort. Your fucking expensive, shiny and powerful modern hardware does not produce anything. Output is close to nothing. Compared to this missery you was like mentally overclocked, in a god mode with your dusty-rusty 15 year old broken ThinkPad with 5 missing keycaps, scratched display and fans producing noise of dying elephant. Some things are technically better, they are better for work. They are effective, powerful for hard work. But hey, you never trully wished in your life to work and definitely not work hard. You was probably dreaming about stars, about way how you will fly in metaphoric way. You never really wanted to be effective, more productive, fast. That's just nonsense the system is putting into your hard drive so it can function and dominates over you. "This keyboard is better for typing, but not for the soul." Did you experience something like that? With some hardware, tool? You knew, you tried, you are sure, that one piece is just better for the taks. But you don't like it. You don't feel it was made for you. It does not satisfy you. There is not that silent resonance between you and that piece of material. You just looking for something, whatever that you can send to your mind and logic, that will justify why you will not use it. To not feel like stupid fool, you have to explain it to your own mind ;/ Find some numbers, some logical data for your inner quantum computer to justify your decision not to use that well engineered piece of nothing. Next time I will write something, I should write title, the subject as the last thing, not the first. The perfection lies within simplicity. Use the system that does nothing for you. Just a cold, blinking cursor daring you to do something meaningful. One screen, one terminal and one shot.
