Date: 2025-05-14 Personal computing ------------------ As everywhere, pretense, falsehood and stupidity is around personal computing too. Most information around personal computing is fake and false. It's absurd to see and hear all that nonsense about computers. All those so much needed rigs, workstations and powerhouses. One would think that everyone on the earth works 24/7 and producing something valuable. It has to be like that, as so many people really need so powerful computers today and all those extra 20 gadgets around them. The most ridiculous are probably those "must have" daily backpacks full of junk without one usefull thing inside. Often just 10 cables, connectors, several machines to just watch one stupid senseless youtube video or send some message over some proprietary messaging application. Those retareded pseudo prepers are cool too ;/ They practically waiting for colapse of the system, some nuclear war or alien invasion and only their preparation is about how they will write some blog post ;/ Can you imagine thinking about computer at all in that situation? Ye, human stupidity at high level. So all those clowns online pretending how they all do hard computing every day with all their machines. You can often see their perfect setups, hardware and software including more pieces than number of internet standards. Cores are relatively boring this time, obviously more is always better as you may need them. What's more desirable is RAM. 16 or 32 GB of RAM is just mockery. You need more. Of course you need, as you are professionaly rendering videos, editing photos, you just do some RAM and GPU extensive very important labor for the world. To see every pixel and see them as many as you can fit them in your room you need big monitor, 32" is nothing today, 4K resolution is just standard. Your keyboard should cost at least 100 euro and mouse needs RGB lights. Color has to match with RAM lights. Everything wireless! You never know when you will need to unplug your keyboard. It should work even without a computer. At least you can't lose it, it has nice colored floodlights so you will find if even during dark times. Important thing in your supercomputer is also amount of petabytes in your hard disk. Ye, ideally you have more disks, so you can own more petabytes of space. For your important and valuable data! In the past God instructed Noah to build the ark, now God is telling everyone to save data into hard disks, backing it up with some cloud storage obviously. After all God is sitting on the cloud. Ye, this is personal computing in 2025 by average respectable dumbass. Somehow most of them just touching their small displays on phones anyway. That's not a problem, as they can always charge their phones over some USB power bank. Busy are those important hardworkers. Thanks God they do all dirty and important work on the planet. The truth is, you don't need computer at all. Of course it can make your life easier, more comfortable and for some tasks it is almost a must. But you can do all of it on any potato connected to the internet. So whole this fakery around computers is stupidity and business. Personal computing is something different. It's like knitting, gardening, playing with musical instrument, painting some picture, playing some game with ball and so on. It is a hobby, no a need as food or water. Most people probably don't realize that, so they are bounded in a small space. They build all those walls around their computing and the current system fully support them. Whether it is some software somebody told them they need, or some special hardware which will make their life better. Important is to get something, to get more, to be more. All those things around them are reducing their own space and creativity. They can't use A, because it does not work with B and B is needed if they want C, simply because it works the best with D. Of course, because all shit was happening for a long time, we are now pretty limited just by two web browsers. They limit our choice of operating system, our hardware. Maybe we gave World Wide Web too much power. We should keep the internet and computer technology more diverse. Also everything does not need to work with everything else. We can have also disconnected islands, paradises. This article is shit, I wanted to write it different way. Stupidity got me here and I wasted my time with it instead of writting something about real personal computing. So now dear reader I punish you by wasting your time too. It happens often, I want to write something about some topic, then I lightly open some stupidity box and that nonsense takes over. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- A personal computer is a box of endless questions. The more you learn, the more it asks back. Tinkering with computers, because sleep is overrated. If it ain't broke, I probably haven't opened it up yet.
