The cemetery of rotting masters

Some internet heroes may remember when not so long ago there was a
disscusion about rebirth of comp.os.plan9 Usenet newsgroup.
For obvious reason current masters of "big 8" hierarchies decided to
keep newsgroup about Plan 9 operating system moderated. In Usenet,
moderated means, total control of the newsgroup. Moderator may even
decides he will not publish any other article, just his poetry. That
time I was against moderated status.

You can read the whole disscussion in news.groups.proposals from
2024-10-28 (Moderator Vacancy Investigation: comp.os.plan9).

Obviously masters want control and sheep want masters. So similar
online issues always end this way.
Now if you try to post your article into comp.os.plan9 at the best
you will wait several days until master approves your article.
It has to meet his standards, ideals and ideologies, otherwise it
will be never published.
You will have no idea why. You will not get an email of refusal or
anything. Zero information, zero transparency. Just as always, what
master wants. Who wants to post article into some newsgroup if you
have to post something, spend energy and time for it, then it may not
appear online at all? Or you will just wait several days until
master publishes it? It's 2025 and waiting several days to get some
plain text online is eternity.

Sad news is, that if you keep something completely unmoderated, other
masters will attack it, sheep will destory it. They both can't smell
freedom around their cages.

Dear online heroes, Usenet is just cemetery of rotting masters and
mass grave of sheep. It's waste of time for a human. This Usenet
piece is just one example from millions online cemeteries. I bet you
experienced already many of them. Ye there will rise many who will
defend and protect particular group, online space, protocol or whatever.

Dear, if you stand in front of the gate with a sword in your hand and
protect the entrance, it does not mean that it is not just a cemetery
full of rot.

By the way, there is nothing more stupid and completely useless than
fmt util in Plan 9.
